"As the active mother of four sons who has used many different baby-wearing products, I find the Kiddyap uniquely useful in situations for an older child (my youngest is four and a half) where the child will be hopping up and hopping down over and over and over and over and, well, you know how it is. It allows the child to get up on your back easily (like a piggyback ride) but still gives you the use of both of your hands... quite useful in situations such as fairs, museums, hiking, the zoo.

I wish we'd owned one years back when a my family went hiking with another family who had a four year old daughter, very long in the legs. We lent them a very basic backpack carrier, so she could fit her legs through the bottom of the carrier, but it just wasn't very easy for her to get in and out of, which she wanted to do often to look at flowers, run up the hills, etc., but still climb in when she was tired. The Kiddyap would've been ideal for that hike.

All in all, it is a very useful carrier for a family on the go, with a young one who is an enthusiastic explorer, but not yet ready to make the journey on his or her own feet."
